Apps I use and why they’re the best

Here are not-so-common apps that have become an indispensable part of my daily workflow:

Things 3 (with GTD)

Things is a beautiful and simple, Mac-only, to-do list manager. It hasn’t changed much in years and that is why I like it.

The most useful feature are:

  1. Quick Entry: anytime I think of something – during a call, during other work, etc, I just press ⇧⌘A and it opens a little window where I can quickly capture a future task or reminder:

I probably use this feature alone 5 times per day at least.

Cursor.sh

Cursor is an AI-first code editor forked from Visual Studio Code. It’s great and is like having a somewhat proficient coding assistant at your side at all times. Just make sure to double-check their work 🙂

Copilot Money

Copilot is a great iOS and Mac budgeting and tracking app. It’s like Mint but better, and user-friendly and nice enough that even those who are not financially inclined will be drawn to it. It’s been very helpful for keeping our family finances on track.

Looks better and easier to user than the competitors (Mint, Monarch Money, YNAB). I especially like the recurring payments feature, so I can see what I will have to pay every month and when.
